Nepse loses 44.18 points from yesterday’s closing

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index closed at 2,936.60 today after losing 44.18 points from yesterday’s closing. The index had gained an impressive 161.94 points yesterday. This was the first triple-digit intraday gain in the history of NEPSE.

The index opened at 2,999.62 and created the intraday high at 3,001.10. While it went as low as 2,913.01, it ultimately closed at 2,936.60.

A total of 15,082,081 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs 7.495 billion in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday’s turnover of Rs 9.826 billion.

United Modi Hydropower Limited (UMHL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 61.92 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 607 per share. Its shares also traded the most.
