NRB directs BFIs to reduce physical works as Covid-19 cases surge

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued a directive asking banks and the financial institution to reduce physical work as much as possible looking at the surge in Corona cases.

NRB has asked to follow the guidelines of the government and the World Health Organization (WHO) and to take the necessary measures to reduce the risk of infection among those who come in direct contact with the customers.

NRB has requested to maintain the physical distance in the bank, to operate ATM booths with open doors and avail sanitizers.

Along with that, NRB has also requested to conduct the seminars, meetings, training programs maintaining the physical distance or to conduct through virtual medium as much as possible.
