Five candidates shortlisted for vacant Sebon Chairman post

KATHMANDU: Five people have been shortlisted in the first round of selection for the executive chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).

A meeting of the recommendation committee held on Monday selected the best five out of 15 applicants. This recommendation committee was formed for the appointment of the board chairman by a ministerial decision. According to a source, Niraj Giri, Gopal Prasad Bhatta, Khagendra Katuwal, Ramesh Kumar Hamal, and Krishna Raj Pokhrel are among the top five. The recommendation committee will recommend the names of 3 out of the 5 selected. The government will appoint one of them as the chairman of the board.

Mukti Aryal, Ramesh Ghimire, Chiranjibi Chapagain, Nawaraj Adhikari, Ambika Sharma Lamichhane, Jeevan Amgai, Sitaram Thapaliya, Keshav Prasad Shrestha, Anil Raj Poudel, and Hemanta Bashyal along with the five previously mentioned had applied for the post.
