The decision was taken by a single bench of Justice Bamkumar Shrestha in response to a writ petition filed by Rajkumar Chhetri on Sunday. “A short-term order has been issued by the court. I am going to appear at the office as Director General on Monday as per the order of the esteemed court,” he said. “If the court order is not complied with, I will proceed with the case of defamation and contempt of court.”

The court has also summoned the defendants for a discussion on February 21. It has been stated that a discussion will be held on February 21 on whether to issue an interim order to Chhetri or not. Chhetri had filed a case at the Supreme Court claiming that the tenure of the Director General was four years as per the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Act and the government had appointed him as Director General for four years.
