CAAN gives seven-day ultimatum to seven non-operating airlines to clear tax dues

KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has given an ultimatum to seven airlines to clear tax dues within seven days or face action.

Issuing a notice today, the aviation sector regulator asked seven non-operating airline companies to pay the pending tax, including service charges and royalties, to the government.

Moreover, CAAN threatened that CAAN will will confiscate the amount from their other properties as per the law and bar them from all aviation-related businesses if they fail to clear dues on time. Necon Air, Cosmic Air, Shivani Air, Gorkha Airlines, Skyline Airways, Air Kasthamandap and Mountain Air have not paid millions worth dues to the government.
