UTL still owes NTA Rs 5.3 bn, which is expected to be paid by mid-February

Nepal Telecommunication Authority issues warning on Ncell share transactions

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Telecommunication Authority has ordered United Telecom Limited (UTL) to pay the outstanding amount of more than 5.3 billion.

The authority has issued a public notice and asked to pay the outstanding amount of 5 billion 30 million 94 lakh 94 thousand 153 rupees by mid-February.

According to the authority, a basic telephone service license was issued for UTL on 20 August 2073 BS.

After that, UTL has to submit the license renewal fee installments, frequency, royalty and rural telecommunication development fund to be submitted to the Nepal government and authorities.

The NTA has warned that if the outstanding amount is not paid by mid-February, action will be taken according to the prevailing law.
