DDC hiked the price of milk by Rs 11 per litre

KATHMANDU: The cost of milk has also gone up by Rs 11 per litre, according to the government-owned Dairy Development Corporation (DDC).

Sanjeev Jha, general manager of the DDC, the decision to raise the consumer price of milk with effect from Thursday has been made with the written agreement of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.

According to Jha, the cost of DDC milk per liter has now gone up from Rs 86 to Rs 97 per litre.

He further said that the government has agreed to start enforcing the earlier-increased farmers’ price of milk from today (March 15).
