Global money week observed

KATHMANDU: Global Money Week, an annual event promoting financial literacy education for children and youth was observed during 20th-26th March 2023.

This years’ theme was “Plan your money, plant your future” highlighting the importance of financial literacy, saving habits and entrepreneurship skills in building a sustainable future.

The Global Money Week started with the Financial Literacy awareness program organized by Nepal Rastra Bank in coordination with National Banking Institute (NBI) with the participation of over 100 Bachelor and Master Level students.

The program provided an opportunity to young people to be equipped with the right skills and knowledge to empower the next generation of financial leaders to make positive changes in their communities through a series of interactive workshops, games, and activities.

The program was organized with the objective of educating the youths about financial literacy in order to enable them take charge of their own financial future.

As a part of corporate social responsibility, NBI organized the program with the initiation from Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in coordination with Nepal Rastra Bank.
