local bodies will accept applications for labor permits from April 14

KATHMANDU: The government has set up local levels to accept applications for individual labor approval and re-labor approval for foreign employment beginning in April 14.

It was decided at the ministerial level by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is also in charge of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, that beginning on May 1st, requests for individual labor approval and re-labor approval can be made at regional employment service centers.

Danduraj Ghimire, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, reportedly announced in a statement that the center will make it easier to complete online applications for labor approval.

He claims that there is currently a system in place that allows workers to submit applications for all different kinds of work permits online. The capacity of service centers will be increased by May 1st, according to Ghimire.

According to the ministry, those who are unable to complete the online form themselves will find it easier as a result of the government’s decision. The ministry anticipates that service recipients will feel at ease receiving such services from all 753 local levels.
