Govt slashes fuel prices by Rs 3-10/litre

KATHMANDU: The government-controlled fuel distribution monopoly Nepal Oil Corporation has lowered fuel prices for the first time in 2023.

A litre of gasoline is now available for Rs 3 less than it was previously, per a decision made by the NOC board on Monday evening. A litre of diesel, kerosene, and aviation fuel costs Rs 10 less than it did previously.

The cost of cooking gas hasn’t changed at all.

The fuel monopoly had previously refused to change the prices even though fuel prices had decreased on the global market.
