Two high-ranking Fly Dubai officials have been denied access at TIA

KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has stopped two top level Fly Dubai officials of Nepal office from entering the Tribhuvan International Airport on the charge of spreading confusion that a bird had hit the FDZ 576 flight from Kathmandu to Dubai on Monday evening.

The Fly Dubai engine was having problems, the pilot reported to the ATC. Fly Dubai, however, noted that it was possible that the bird had collided in a tweet. The authority claimed that a physical inspection could not confirm the matter of a bird collision.

Because the Country Manager and Airport Manager of Fly Dubai spread false information, the Authority has decided to revoke their airport passes. They will also not be permitted to enter the TIA.

According to the authority, details about what caused the ship’s engine to burst on Monday will be sought from the Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates.
