DoTM lowers long-distance travelers’ transportation costs

KATHMANDU: The price of long-distance passenger and freight transportation has been decreased by the government. The fee reduction is effective as of right now, according to the Department of Transport Management (DoTM).

Only on Tuesday did the cost of diesel and kerosene decrease by Rs 10 per liter. New rates for passenger and cargo vehicles have been announced by the Department of Transport Management in response to the drop in the price of petroleum products.

The DoTM reports that prices have dropped by 3 points 20 percent for passenger cars, 4 points 19 percent for cargo cars traveling on mountain roads, and 4 points 65 percent for cargo cars traveling on Terai roads.
