Dr. Baikunth Aryal appointed as Chief Secretary of Nepal

KATHMANDU: Dr. Baikunth Aryal has been named as the government of Nepal’s chief secretary. Aryal was chosen as Chief Secretary at this morning’s Cabinet meeting held at Singha Darbar.

The National Security Adviser has reportedly been named to be the current Chief Secretary, Shankardas Bairagi.

Aryal, who is the most senior among the current secretaries, is currently in the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Office. His five-year tenure as secretary was ending on June 18.
