NEA board of directors decree: consumers urged to apply for installment facility within 30 days

KATHMANDU: In a recent announcement, the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has introduced a flexible payment plan for consumers with outstanding dues. The NEA notice specifies that consumers, who have availed themselves of electricity services from various sources, now have the option to settle their dues through installment payments, extending over a maximum period of 60 months.

Emphasizing the urgency of clearing dues promptly, the NEA urges consumers to take advantage of this opportunity and settle their outstanding payments as soon as possible.

To avail of the installment facility, consumers are required to apply for it by contacting the relevant distribution center within 30 days from the date of the notice’s publication.

This move comes following a decision by the NEA Board of Directors on January 1, marking the announcement as a critical and time-sensitive measure.

The NEA aims to alleviate financial burdens on consumers by providing a more manageable and extended payment option during these challenging times.
