Kathmandu, Nepal – The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Nepal has recently wrapped up its highly successful “Informative Learning” program, bringing together member companies Deerwalk and Dearhold, both actively engaged in American investments within the Nepalese business landscape.

The founder of Deerwalk in Nepal, Rudra Raj Pandey, took center stage during the program, shedding light on the company’s diverse portfolio, encompassing software development, school and college management, corporate and IT training, auto services, and tourism.

The initiative, spearheaded by Pandey, not only delved into the nuances of leadership development but also provided valuable insights into the company’s rich experiences.

A series of insightful presentations added depth to the event. Sachin Karanjit offered an overview of the operations of Dearhold Nepal, Bijay Shrestha provided insights into Deerwalk School and College, and Yajna Lamsal shared valuable information about Deerwalk Campus Power.

Nirmal Kaji Shrestha, the President of AmCham Nepal, underscored the program’s significance in nurturing camaraderie among members and enhancing mutual understanding of each other’s businesses. The interactive sessions and presentations aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among the participating entities.

As an integral part of the program, members had the opportunity to tour the facilities of Dearhold and Deerwalk Group located in Sifal, Kathmandu. This hands-on experience provided participants with a closer look at the operations and infrastructure of these prominent American-invested entities in Nepal.

Ajit Shah, the immediate past President of AmCham Nepal, joined the program, along with prominent members such as Samarth Moga and Darren Kristensen, the Economic and Commercial Specialist at the U.S. Embassy Nepal. In total, 40 participants actively engaged in the program, fostering a robust network within the American business community in Nepal.

AmCham, representing over 40 American investment-related entities in Nepal, plays a pivotal role in promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) with a focus on tourism, information technology, and energy sectors. The organization is dedicated to fostering bilateral trade and investment growth between Nepal and the United States.

Within its first two years of establishment, AmCham Nepal achieved accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a testament to its commitment and contributions to facilitating a conducive environment for American businesses operating in Nepal.

Pandey further said that, Deerwalk and Dearhold program not only served as a platform for information exchange and networking but also highlighted the significant contributions of American investments to Nepal’s economic landscape. The success of this program reinforces the importance of fostering strong ties between American investors and the local business community, promoting economic growth and collaboration.
