AmCham Nepal hosts ‘Expert Learning Series’ at SecurityPal

KATHMANDU: The American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham Nepal), the umbrella organization of American-invested businesses in Nepal, has completed the ‘Expert Learning Series’ program at its member SecurityPal.

During the event, Ruth Rafalovich, the Vice President of SecurityPal’s Business Development Partnership, informed AmCham members about SecurityPal’s services in Nepal.

SecurityPal is a cyber-security company founded by Pukar Chandra Hamal, an American Entrepreneur with Nepali origin. The US Silicon Valley cybersecurity company ‘SecurityPal’ has been operating in Nepal since Falgun 2079 BS.

Hamal mentioned that SecurityPal will help deal with security complexities and review how to protect sensitive data when exchanging services between companies with different business details.

Similarly, SecurityPal emphasized the need to invest in schools and create a situation where students who have studied there can be employed by SecurityPal in the future.

Jay Sears, the founder of Tim Daya, who was invited to interact in the program, recalled the support provided by SecurityPal when he came from America to establish a school in Kanchanpur, Nepal.

He mentioned that while building a school in Kanchanpur, various company founders and officials of diplomatic missions also participated as volunteers. He expressed his happiness in building the school and fulfilling his dream since coming to Nepal to study for a semester at the age of 21.

Fifty people, including Aakash Golcha, Manish Thapa, Sneha Rajbhandari, Amir Raj Thapa, and representatives from US Embassy Laura Simkiss and Kate Kaetzer-Hudson, participated in the program from AmCham Nepal. More than 50 business organizations of American investment in Nepal has joined AmCham Nepal. Within two years of its establishment, it has been affiliated with the US Chambers of Commerce.

According to the organization, the purpose of this organization is to increase trade and investment between the two countries, focusing on foreign direct investment (FDI) for Nepal in tourism, information technology, and energy sectors.
