Collaboration with private sector key for economic prosperity, says PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has pledged to enact necessary laws via ordinance if deemed essential to attract more investments into the country.

Speaking at the 58th Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Prime Minister Dahal emphasized the government’s commitment to collaborating with the private sector in policymaking endeavors.

Acknowledging the importance of private sector engagement, Prime Minister Dahal expressed his readiness to work hand in hand with businesses, stating, “I welcome the decision of the private sector to work with the government; the government is determined for prosperity.”

While highlighting the positive trajectory of the economy’s basic indicators, Prime Minister Dahal acknowledged existing challenges. He assured stakeholders that the upcoming policy and program would incorporate suggestions from people’s representatives, the private sector, and the general public.

In a bid to boost economic growth, Prime Minister Dahal announced plans to allocate increased resources towards capital expenditure. He underscored the significance of augmenting capital expenditure, asserting that it would not only bolster the economy but also uplift the morale of the private sector.

Prime Minister Dahal’s remarks underscore the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for investment and economic prosperity.
