Global IME Bank and Cymex Inc. sign agreement for easy EV loans on BYD vehicles

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited and Cymex Inc. Pvt. Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate the provision of electric vehicle loans.

According to this agreement, Nepalese citizens wishing to purchase BYD brand electric vehicles sold by Cymex Inc. Pvt. Ltd. and its authorized dealers can apply for a loan at the bank’s branch office with the necessary documents and information. The bank will provide vehicle loans to eligible customers within three working days, as per the terms of the agreement.

To promote green financing, the bank has been offering loans for personal vehicles at a minimal interest rate. Keeping customer convenience in mind, the bank has been introducing various timely plans to benefit its clients.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Suman Pokharel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the bank, and Sandhya Shrestha, Sales and Showroom Manager on behalf of Cymex Inc. Pvt. Ltd.

Global IME Bank is the first private sector commercial bank with a branch network in all 77 districts of Nepal. The bank is providing excellent services to over 4.6 million customers through more than 1,100 service centers, including 354 branch offices, 379 ATMs, 277 branchless banking services, 68 extension and revenue collection counters, and 3 overseas representative offices.

The bank has been significantly contributing to the country’s economy by bringing in remittances from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, Jordan, and Hong Kong.
