KATHMANDU: Genese Solution, a leading IT and cybersecurity consulting firm, has equipped five students in Eastern Nepal with laptops after they completed a 10-day IT training program. The initiative, held in Arun Rural Municipality, Bhojpur, aimed to bridge the digital divide by providing practical IT skills and internship opportunities to local youth.
The students, selected for internships but lacking personal devices, received laptops to support their learning and career development. The program focused on hands-on IT training, offering real-world experience and eliminating digital barriers for participants.
Speaking at the event on May 15, Arun Rural Municipality Chair Shalikram Khatri praised Genese Solution for empowering local youth with skills and mentorship, noting the initiative’s potential to shape their future careers. Retired AIG of Nepal Police and Patron of Sitaram Padma Kumari Foundation, Bhim Dhakal, highlighted the importance of digital literacy in today’s world, expressing hope that the support would open new career paths.
Sonika Jha, Senior Manager of Learning and Development at Genese Solution, outlined the program’s objectives, while Amit Joshi, VP of Pre-sales, delivered a vote of thanks, emphasizing the firm’s commitment to inclusive digital empowerment across Nepal.
