Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv Initiates Registration for Citizens Seeking Evacuation Amid Israel-Iran Conflict

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv has launched a registration process to collect details of Nepali citizens wishing to return from Israel and Iran as tensions escalate between the two nations. The initiative aims to facilitate evacuation and repatriation amid the worsening conflict, the embassy announced in a public notice.

The embassy stated, “In light of the evolving situation in Israel, the collection of information has begun to address the needs of Nepali citizens facing difficulties or fear, ensuring a basis for rescue, repatriation, and other necessary actions.” Citizens interested in registering are urged to click the provided link to submit their details.

According to the embassy, approximately 7,000 Nepalis reside in Israel, with 12 in Iran. Ambassador to Israel Dhan Prasad Pandit indicated that the embassy will assess the number of registrants and formulate a tailored plan if needed. “We are in contact with those wishing to return and will plan accordingly based on their numbers,” he said.

The move follows heightened concerns for the safety of Nepalis, many of whom are migrant workers, as the Israel-Iran conflict intensifies. The embassy’s proactive step reflects a response to the uncertain security landscape, though the scale of any evacuation remains contingent on further developments and logistical coordination.
