KATHMANDU: Muktinath Development Bank Limited has introduced a new service allowing Nepali students studying abroad to pay visa and educational fees directly through the bank. This initiative was launched following an agreement between the bank and Expert Education and Visa Services Pvt. Ltd., Maharajgunj.
Under this service, students pursuing higher education abroad can pay tuition fees for institutions in countries such as Australia, Canada, the USA, the UK, and Japan through Muktinath Development Bank. Initially, the service is available at the bank’s Maharajgunj and Kamaladi branches.
To promote digital transactions, the bank offers special discounts on fees for payments made via QR code from any bank’s app under the FonePay network. Recently, Muktinath has also introduced the “Muktinath Fayda App,” enabling multiple benefits, along with cross-border QR payment services.
Additionally, the bank provides facilities like mobile banking, online loan applications, account opening, internet banking, and remittance deposits directly into accounts, allowing customers to perform these tasks from home without visiting a branch.
