Global IME Bank honors 175 employees on its 19th anniversary

KATHMANDU: In celebration of its 19th anniversary, Global IME Bank hosted a special event in Kathmandu to honor 175 employees who have dedicated 15 years of continuous service to the institution. The ceremony was led by Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Chairman of the bank and President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), alongside senior board members and top executives.

During the event, Chairman Dhakal, together with CEO Surendra Raj Regmi and Deputy CEO Suman Pokharel, presented the long-serving staff with certificates and traditional khadas to recognize their loyalty and hard work.

In his keynote address, Chairman Dhakal looked back at the bank’s journey, noting that while it started as the 19th commercial bank in Nepal, it has managed to climb to the top of almost every financial indicator in just 19 years. He credited this success not just to leadership, but to the collective teamwork and dedication of the employees. He encouraged the team to remain focused on making the bank’s services even more modern and technology-driven following recent mergers and expansions.

CEO Surendra Raj Regmi added that the bank’s current goal is to stay ahead in the digital age by making banking services more innovative and user-friendly. Deputy CEO Suman Pokharel also reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to improving customer satisfaction in the years to come.

Global IME Bank has built a strong reputation over the years, winning several prestigious titles like “Bank of the Year 2014” and “Best Bank Nepal” for 2024 and 2025. It is also recognized for its excellence in internet banking and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards.
