Qatari business delegation meets tourism Minister Sinha, Discusses investment in aviation and tourism

KATHMANDU: A delegation from the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry held talks with Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Anil Kumar Sinha on Monday, focusing on potential investment opportunities in Nepal’s tourism sector and cooperation in air services and aviation.

The delegation, led by Mohamed Ahmed M.A. Al Obaidli, visited Singha Durbar to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral engagement in tourism infrastructure, aviation services, and related sectors. The meeting explored areas of collaboration aimed at strengthening connectivity and encouraging foreign investment in Nepal’s travel and hospitality industry.

According to officials, discussions centered on enhancing air service partnerships, expanding aviation-sector investment, and identifying tourism-related projects that could attract Qatari private sector participation.

The Qatari business delegation is in Kathmandu at the invitation of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) President Chandra Dhakal. FNCCI said the visit is part of broader efforts to promote bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Nepal and Qatar.

FNCCI President Dhakal also took part in the meeting, underscoring the private sector’s role in deepening economic ties and facilitating cross-border investment flows.
