Siddhartha Hospitality celebrates 28 Years, Expands nationwide footprint

KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Hospitality, one of Nepal’s leading chain hospitality groups, has entered its 28th year of operation, marking nearly three decades of expansion in the country’s tourism and service sector while emphasizing corporate social responsibility (CSR) alongside commercial growth.

Founded in 1998 as a modest hotel in Tikapur, Kailali, the group has evolved into a nationwide hospitality network spanning from Birtamod in the east to Mahendranagar in the west. Over the years, the company has expanded beyond hotel services, positioning social engagement and community partnership as a core component of its long-term strategy.

Speaking at the anniversary event, Chintamani Neupane, Chairperson of Siddhartha Group, said the company’s sustained success is closely linked to its social commitments. “Hospitality is not only about service; it also carries responsibility toward society. Wherever Siddhartha Group expands its services, we remain connected to local communities and continuously promote health, education, and environmental conservation initiatives,” he said.

CEO Krishna Neupane stated that Siddhartha Hospitality’s journey has gone beyond business growth, integrating tourism promotion, employment generation, and collaboration with local communities. He noted that the group’s model combines commercial operations with social outreach.

The group currently operates around three dozen outlets under direct investment and through construction and management partnerships with other companies. Siddhartha Hospitality provides employment to approximately 2,500 people nationwide, contributing to the tourism-driven labor market.

Under the Siddhartha brand portfolio, the group runs five-star, four-star, and three-star category hotels, resorts, cottages, and cafés. Its key brands include:

Siddhartha Vilasa – Five-star segment

Siddhartha Vaibhav – Four-star segment

Siddhartha Batika – Three-star segment

Additionally, Siddhartha Cottages and Siddhartha Café are in operation, while a new brand, “S Hotel,” is under preparation, according to the company.

In the academic and skills development sector, Siddhartha Hospitality has partnered with Lumbini University to support hospitality students through a “study and earn” program, focusing on practical skill development. The group also prioritizes the use and promotion of local organic products within its operations.

Beyond hospitality, the Siddhartha Group operates diversified businesses including Siddhartha Trading Concern, Siddhartha Institute of Hospitality, Siddhartha Biotica (agriculture farm), and Serve Technologies, reflecting expansion into education, agriculture, and related sectors.

On the occasion of the anniversary, various units under the group conducted CSR programs across multiple locations. These included distribution of juice and fruits to patients in government hospitals, food support to orphanages and elderly homes, assistance to the Raute community, support for persons with disabilities, blood donation drives, health camps, free eye check-ups, tree plantation campaigns, and cleaning initiatives at public and religious sites.

The activities were carried out in cooperation with local communities in Tikapur, Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, Surkhet, Chitwan, Damauli, Butwal, Bouddha, Birtamod, Bandipur, and other locations, the company said.

The group also launched an internal campaign titled “Mero Siddhartha” aimed at fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility among employees. Under its CSR arm “Sakar,” the group continues to implement health, education, disaster relief, and community-focused programs.

As part of the anniversary initiatives, Siddhartha Hospitality handed over a police post unit to the District Police Office in Dhangadhi, further extending its institutional support to public service infrastructure.
