KATHMANDU — The government has formed a three-member recommendation committee to appoint the new chairperson of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), moving forward with a key leadership selection in the country’s capital market regulator.
A Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday afternoon decided to constitute the committee under the coordination of Dr. Gunakar Bhatta, Vice-Chairperson of the National Planning Commission.
Other members of the committee include Ghanshyam Upadhyaya, Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, and Bhuvan Kumar Dahal, Kathmandu.
Minister for Communication and Information Technology Bikram Timilsina confirmed the decision, stating that the committee has been tasked with recommending candidates for the SEBON chairperson position.
