KATHMANDU. Nepal’s growing technology and innovation ecosystem will be on display as more than 55 student-developed projects spanning artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, cybersecurity, software development and smart technologies are set to be showcased at Presidential Innovista 2.0, 2026, a technology and business carnival organized by Presidential Graduate School in Kathmandu.
The two-day exhibition, scheduled for Asar 11 and 12 (June 25–26), aims to highlight student innovation, digital creativity and future-ready skills through a range of practical technology solutions developed by young innovators.
Affiliated with the California-based Westcliff University, Presidential Graduate School said the event will provide a platform for students to demonstrate emerging technologies and entrepreneurial ideas with real-world applications.
This year’s event has been divided into five major technology domains: Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and Robotics, Cyber Village, Software Development, and Technoversity.
More than 170 students from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc IT) program have participated in developing over 55 projects, many of which address practical challenges in security, automation, agriculture, tourism and digital services.
Among the headline attractions are:
According to Executive Chairman Laxman KC, the projects demonstrate both technological capability and commercial potential.
“These innovations have been developed from scratch by students. Our objective is to show that world-class innovation is possible in Nepal and to create opportunities for students to transform ideas into viable businesses,” he said.
A major focus of the exhibition is cybersecurity, reflecting growing concerns over online fraud, data breaches and digital financial security.
Student projects under the Cyber Village section include solutions aimed at strengthening bank account security, mitigating cyber threats and protecting personal and organizational data.
As Nepal’s digital economy expands rapidly through online banking, digital payments and e-commerce, organizers believe cybersecurity innovation will become increasingly important for businesses and consumers alike.
The event will also feature participation from more than 34 recently graduated Plus Two students from different colleges. Under a week-long mentorship program led by Presidential Graduate School students, they will showcase innovation projects within the Technoversity Pavilion.
Organizers have announced cash prizes of up to Rs 100,000 for winning projects.
The exhibition is targeted at Plus Two graduates, university students, aspiring IT professionals and technology enthusiasts seeking exposure to emerging technologies, networking opportunities and future education pathways.
Entry to the event is free.
One of the key objectives of the event is to bridge the gap between academic innovation and commercial application.
The school’s Business Incubation Center works with students to transform promising projects into startups and commercially viable products. IT and business students collaborate to prepare innovations for investment, market entry and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The institution has also established a dedicated Skill Up Department that connects students with industry professionals and human resource managers, providing insights into market trends and workforce expectations.
In addition to preparing students for employment, the school offers entrepreneurship support and startup guidance through incubation programs.
Presidential Graduate School currently hosts around 1,400 students, supported by more than 90 faculty members and 45 administrative staff.
Director and Principal Kalpana Gurung said the institution’s collaboration with Westcliff University provides students with international exposure and credit-transfer opportunities, enabling them to pursue higher education abroad.
She said the annual event will continue to bring together students, industry leaders, entrepreneurs and investors to create employment, startup and investment opportunities.
“With the participation of businesses and investors, we aim to create a platform where students can access jobs, mentorship and startup opportunities. The event will help uncover new possibilities in Nepal’s information technology and business sectors while inspiring the next generation of innovators,” Gurung said.
