Sangita Poudel Miss Nepal
KATHMANDU: Certified Ashtanga yoga instructor and mental health advocate Sangita Poudel has secured a place in the Miss Nepal World 2026 finale and is appealing to Nepalis at home and abroad to support her through public voting.
Competing as Contestant No. 5, Poudel said public voting will remain open until July 28, while the grand finale is scheduled for August 1.
Born on December 1, 2002, in Pokhara, Poudel completed her school education at Diamond Higher Secondary School before earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Xavier’s College, Kathmandu.
A certified Ashtanga yoga instructor, she has been actively promoting mental health, yoga, mindfulness, and holistic well-being. Poudel believes that a healthy body, a balanced mind, and a purposeful life are the true foundations of prosperity.
She is also a committed vegetarian and says her lifestyle is inspired by compassion for animals, environmental responsibility, and conscious living. According to her, even small mindful choices can create meaningful positive change for society and the environment.
Through social media platforms and public engagements, Poudel has consistently advocated for mental health awareness, holistic wellness, sustainable living, and compassionate lifestyles. She says her primary mission is to encourage young people to lead more mindful, responsible, and purpose-driven lives.
Speaking after reaching the final round, Poudel said the achievement has given her an even greater sense of responsibility. She noted that beauty pageants are not merely about physical appearance but also serve as platforms to demonstrate leadership, personality, social responsibility, and the ability to inspire positive change.
The Miss Nepal World 2026 competition features finalists selected from across the country. The winner will earn the opportunity to represent Nepal on the international stage at the Miss World competition.
Poudel has urged supporters to cast their votes before the July 28 deadline to help her in the final stage of the competition.
