KATHMANDU: Sangrila Motors, a subsidiary of the Golchha Group, has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio by officially launching the Lipmotor B10 electric SUV in Nepal. The new model was unveiled at a special event in Kathmandu, marking the first international launch of the B10 outside China, signaling Nepal’s growing relevance in the global EV market.
During the unveiling, Hemanta Golchha, Managing Director of Sangrila Motors, expressed pride in Nepal becoming the first international market to introduce Lipmotor’s latest model.
“Just like the C10, it is a matter of great pride for us to launch the B10 first in Nepal after China. This reflects the company’s trust and priority for the Nepali market,” he stated.
According to the company, the B10 SUV is equipped with a 160-kilowatt motor and a 67.2 kilowatt-hour battery pack, delivering an impressive range of up to 600 kilometers on a single full charge. The WLTP-certified range stands between 460 to 480 kilometers, depending on driving conditions.
Golchha noted that the B10 offers superior features within its price category and highlighted its aesthetic appeal, claiming the design is more attractive than the earlier C10 model. He also mentioned that the vehicle’s styling is partly inspired by Porsche’s design language, making it both performance-focused and visually compelling. The B10 is designed for European and global markets, meeting stringent European safety and quality standards.
While the price of the B10 has not yet been disclosed, the company said it will be announced at the upcoming Naima Mobility Expo.
Sangrila Motors entered the Nepali automobile market in 2017 with the Peugeot brand, followed by the Citroën brand, and introduced Lipmotor in 2022. Lipmotor is a global EV brand under the Stellantis Group, the world’s fourth-largest automobile manufacturer, which owns over 14 well-known auto brands including Jeep, Fiat, and Maserati.
In less than a year since its entry, Lipmotor has made a strong foothold in Nepal. The previously launched C10 model has already sold more than 200 units. With the arrival of the B10, Sangrila Motors aims to further intensify competition in Nepal’s growing electric vehicle segment.
