Golyan Group celebrates 65 years of impact with new brand film showcasing grassroots growth

Golyan Group today operates over 25 businesses across Nepal, employing more than 6,000 people, with annual revenue surpassing USD 400 million.

KATHMANDU: Marking a remarkable 65-year journey, Golyan Group, one of Nepal’s leading business conglomerates, has launched a powerful new brand film titled #GolyanForGrowth. The film celebrates the Group’s legacy by spotlighting real stories of ordinary Nepalis whose lives have progressed in parallel with the company’s evolution.

Founded in 1960, Golyan Group today operates over 25 businesses across Nepal, employing more than 6,000 people, with annual revenue surpassing USD 400 million. Its core sectors include manufacturing, agriculture, renewable energy, real estate, and hospitality — all aligned with its long-held philosophy of creating value within Nepal by building infrastructure, generating employment, promoting exports, and empowering communities.

The newly released brand film doesn’t focus on the Group itself, but on the people behind its progress — from a schoolchild benefiting from clean solar power, to farmers accessing fair markets, to factory workers gaining financial independence. These grassroots stories reflect how Golyan’s investments have had a tangible impact on everyday lives across the country.

“This film isn’t about us,” said Akshay Golyan, Managing Director of Golyan Group. “It’s about the people whose lives and efforts have shaped our journey just as much as we’ve shaped theirs. It’s a celebration of shared progress.”

Over the years, the Group has continued to emphasize responsible and inclusive growth — supporting Nepal’s development through initiatives that go beyond profit. Whether it’s introducing clean energy projects, supporting sustainable agriculture, or expanding job opportunities, Golyan remains focused on long-term nation-building.

In recognition of its contributions, Golyan Group and its leadership have received numerous accolades from the Government of Nepal — including the Commercially Important Person (CIP) designation in both 2020 and 2025, the Best Exporter & Employer Award (2025), the Highest Exporter Award (2024), and the Excellence in Industrial Relations Award (2022).

As the company reflects on its 65-year milestone, the message is clear: Golyan for Growth is not just a slogan — it is a continued commitment to empower people, elevate livelihoods, and build a sustainable future for Nepal.
