KATHMANDU: Chairman of Nepal Micro Insurance, Ashish Shrestha, has been arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on Tuesday.
According to police, Shrestha was taken into custody for investigation under provisions of the Insurance Act 2079.
CIB spokesperson Shiv Kumar Shrestha confirmed that the arrest was made as part of an ongoing probe into alleged violations under the law.
Further details regarding the case and specific charges are yet to be disclosed.
