KATHMANDU: The recommendation committee formed to appoint the chairperson of the Nepal Securities Board has published a shortlist of four candidates for the position.
According to a notice issued by the Chairperson Selection Recommendation Committee under the Ministry of Finance, the shortlist was prepared in accordance with Sub-rule 3 of Rule 7 of the Securities-related Act, 2063 BS, following the submission and evaluation of personal details from applicants.
The committee stated that 47 applicants had submitted their personal profiles after a public call for applications issued on Jestha 15, 2083 BS.

The shortlisted candidates have been invited for discussions and presentations before the recommendation committee at the Ministry of Finance, Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, on Jestha 8, 2083 BS (Friday).
The committee said discussions with shortlisted candidates will be conducted before recommending a final name for appointment as chairperson of the securities market regulator.
The Nepal Securities Board is the country’s key capital market regulator responsible for overseeing stock market activities, securities trading, public offerings, and investor protection.
