KATHMANDU: Global travel technology company Verteil Technologies has officially entered the Nepal market through its appointed General Sales Agent, Stream Travel Services, introducing advanced New Distribution Capability (NDC)-based airline retailing and distribution solutions aimed at modernizing the country’s travel industry.

The launch was marked by an industry event held on June 2, 2026, at The Soaltee Kathmandu, bringing together more than 50 leading travel agencies and tourism industry stakeholders. The gathering highlighted growing interest among Nepal’s travel sector in next-generation airline distribution technologies that offer enhanced access to airline content and retailing capabilities.

Under the partnership, Stream Travel Services will lead the local deployment of Verteil’s advanced airline distribution platform, enabling Nepal-based travel agencies to access richer airline content, competitive fares, ancillary products, and streamlined booking processes through direct connectivity with airline partners.

During the event, representatives from Verteil Technologies delivered a comprehensive product presentation and live demonstration of the company’s B2B platform. The session showcased the firm’s NDC-powered capabilities and demonstrated how travel agencies can benefit from modern retailing tools designed to improve booking efficiency, broaden content access, and enhance customer experiences.

“We are excited to expand into Nepal and support the growth of the local travel ecosystem,” said Jerrin Jos, Founder and CEO of Verteil Technologies.

“Through our partnership with Stream Travel Services, we will empower travel agencies in Nepal with modern airline distribution technology that delivers better content, greater retailing flexibility, and improved customer booking experiences,” he said.

Representing Stream Travel Services, Ashish K. Sengupta emphasized the significance of the collaboration for Nepal’s travel trade.

“We are proud to be Verteil’s General Sales Agent in Nepal,” Sengupta said. “This collaboration brings advanced distribution technology to our market and gives travel sellers direct access to NDC content from leading airlines. We look forward to helping agencies adopt these capabilities and supporting their growth with local expertise and service.”

Industry observers say the arrival of Verteil Technologies could help accelerate the digital transformation of Nepal’s travel sector by providing agencies with direct access to NDC content from international carriers. The technology enables airlines to offer more personalized products, ancillary services, and dynamic pricing, while helping travel sellers improve operational efficiency and customer engagement.

The introduction of Verteil’s platform is also expected to strengthen airline distribution capabilities in Nepal, broaden travel agencies’ access to global airline inventory, and support the ongoing modernization of the country’s travel retail ecosystem as demand for digital-first travel solutions continues to grow.
