The initiative comes as Nepal increasingly embraces digital platforms to attract international travelers and strengthen its presence in key tourism source markets.
NTB believes that empowering local tourism stakeholders with modern content creation skills can help showcase Nepal’s diverse tourism products, including adventure tourism, trekking, mountaineering, cultural heritage, spirituality, wildlife, gastronomy, and community-based tourism experiences.
By encouraging authentic storytelling, the program seeks to inspire both domestic and international travelers through real experiences shared by people directly involved in Nepal’s tourism industry.
Speaking about the initiative, Sunil Sharma, Officiating Director of Nepal Tourism Board, said digital storytelling has become an increasingly important tool for destination marketing in the modern travel industry.
“We aim to amplify Nepal’s diverse experiences to global audiences in a more engaging and impactful way. We believe the voices of our own people are the strongest ambassadors of Nepal’s tourism,” Sharma said.
The partnership reflects a growing trend among tourism organizations worldwide to collaborate with social media platforms and content creators to reach younger travelers and digitally connected audiences.
NTB has invited interested tourism stakeholders to apply through the official workshop registration portal. The deadline for submitting applications is June 21, 2026.
Tourism officials expect the workshop to contribute to Nepal’s broader efforts to strengthen destination branding, increase international visitor arrivals, and promote the country as a leading travel destination in South Asia through innovative digital marketing strategies.
