Over two million personal PAN cards issued so far

KATHMANDU: The number of taxpayers taking personal permanent account number (PAN) has exceeded 2 million.

According to the Ministry of Finance, over two million (2,010,134) people have taken personal PAN by mid-July of the current fiscal year.

The number of PAN recipients has increased since the last fiscal year after the government made PAN mandatory for every sort of payment.

On the business side, 1.374 million firms have taken PAN, as per statistics.
