Beneficiaries asked to claim housing grant by mid-May 2021

KATHMANDU: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has asked beneficiaries to claim their housing grants by mid-May 2021.

The meeting of NRA executive committee held today took decision to this effect and also clarified that the date to claim housing grant will not be extended further.

As per the new timeline, existing reconstruction and incineration beneficiaries will have to sign the grant agreement by mid-December this year and take first tranche of the housing grant within December end.

Similarly, beneficiaries who have already taken the first installment of the housing grant should start constructing their houses and apply for the second installment by mid-February next year. Similarly, all beneficiaries who have taken first and second tranche of housing grant should claim their third tranche by mid-May 2021.
