NAC reduces fare for chartered flights as ATF rate fall

KATHMANDU: A day after Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) slashed price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) for foreign airlines, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NOC) has decided to bring down airfare, especially in international chartered flights.

NOC had reduced ATF price (for international flights) by $178 per kiloliter effective from Tuesday. With this revision, aviation fuel for international flights will cost $715 per kiloliter.

Subsequently, NAC has reduced the airfare for chartered flights by $ 2,060 per hour. Earlier, the rate for chartered flight was $15,520 per hour. Similarly, the chartered flight rate of narrow body aircraft has been reduced by 15 percent to $6,580. Earlier, it was $7,710.
