National Assembly passes two bills related to splitting CAAN

KATHMANDU: The National Assembly has passed two separate bills related to splitting the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

This has paved way for the government to separate CAAN as an air service provider and regulatory body.

The National Assembly has passed the ‘Nepal Air Service Authority Bill-2076’ and ‘Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Bill-2076’.

So far, CAAN has been working as both the regulator and service provider.
