Pre-booking of bus tickets for Dashain festival opens today

KATHMANDU: The pre-booking of bus tickets for those leaving Kathmandu Valley for Dashain festival has opened from today.

The Department of Transport Management (DoTM), after discussion with transport entrepreneurs, has opened the pre-booking of tickets for long and medium route vehicles.

With this, transport entrepreneurs have opened ticket counters across different parts in Valley ensuring that the public get bus tickets easily.

In a bid to ease movement of passengers during the festival and check possible anomalies, the Metropolitan Traffic Police has set up passenger helplines at 14 different places in Kathmandu.

More than two million people are expected to leave Kathmandu Valley for Dashain this year.
