Nepal Investment Bank starts first card-based ‘Scan to Pay’ solution in Nepal

KATHMANDU: In conjunction with the Nepal Investment Bank, FocusOne Payment Solutions and Visa have introduced the ‘Scan to Pay’ service for the first time in the country.

FocusOne Payment Solutions is a payment service company licensed by the Nepal Rastra Bank to provide payment processing services. On Thursday, Moco, a mobile digital wallet, was launched by the company.

Moco Digital Wallet is a game-changing innovation in online payments, made possible by a partnership with world-renowned Visa on digital payments. Users can effortlessly attach their Visa card details to their phone with this application.

By scanning the QR code displayed on the screen, a retailer can begin accepting payment for a transaction.

Nepal Investment Bank Ltd. Visa card holders will now be able to link their debit or credit cards to the Moco app, allowing them to purchase and use a variety of services such as telecommunication top-up, internet access, and utility bill payments.

In order to take advantage of this service, the customer does not need to reload the balance in their digital wallet on a regular basis.
