Two-day Science Fair begins at Reliance International Academy

KATHMANDU: A two-day Science Fair, with the aim to explore the potential of the students, has started at Reliance International Academy, under the Reliance Education Network, from Thursday.

The fair, which is being organized inside the college premises in Chabahil, primarily focuses on to strengthen the capacity of students in the college and explore their understandings and capacity in information and technology, as per Reliance College, the organizer of the event.

The first day of the event witnessed participation and presentation from scientists from the National Innovation Centre (NIC) which is led by scientist Mahabir Pun.

Similarly, students from the college gave different presentation including, innovative Bicycle Dynamo, Smart City, Hologram, Flood Alert System, Wireless Robot, Rain Water Harvesting, Circulatory System, Global Worming Demo, etc.

Students have been showcasing their talents and creativities through 23 stalls in the event.

Addressing the inaugural session of the event, Ritesh Dev, a NIC senior mechanical engineer, said that Reliance International College has organized a great programme for the new comers in the field of science and innovation sector. “I believe that this exhibition will definitely help students to explore their potentials in upcoming days.”

At the programme, Rabindra Jung Thapa, principal of the college, said that the main aim to organize the fair is to make students more creative and innovative. “The Science Fair will make students good and decent citizen of the nation by exposing their talents.”

Along with regular routine, the college has been giving special emphasis on extracurricular activities for the students, informed Thapa.

Thapa further informed that this event will be crucial not only among students of Reliance International College but also students of other colleges and schools nearby.

Nandu Prasad Kushuwaha, vice principle of the college said, “The College has expected to bring in more than 5000 students from various college and schools.”

Based on the scientific research, exploration and experimentation, information technology, students are able to network with their peers who have similar interests, as per Kushuwaha.
