Govt brings down minimum FDI limit to Rs 20 million

Nepal to simplify foreign investment procedures

KATHMANDU: The government has reduced the minimum limit for foreign investment Rs 50 million to Rs 20 million.

Presenting the budget on Sunday, Finance Minister Janardha Sharma reduced the limit for foreign direct investment to encourage foreign investment in Nepal. He also announced to accept foreign investment of up to Rs 100 million through automated system.
