Nepali embassy in Israel assures safety amid Iranian attacks

KATHMANDU: In the wake of recent missile and drone attacks launched by Iran on Israel, the Nepali Embassy in Israel has moved swiftly to reassure Nepali citizens residing in the region of their safety.

Issuing a press statement, the embassy confirmed that despite the escalating tensions and attacks targeting various parts of Israel, Nepali citizens remain unharmed and secure.

“Iran has launched missile and drone attacks on multiple areas of Israel. We want to assure all concerned parties that Nepali citizens residing in Israel have not been impacted by these attacks, and all Nepalis are safe,” the statement read.

The attacks, which commenced on Sunday morning, have primarily targeted Israel’s capital, including Tel Aviv, heightening concerns among residents and diplomatic missions in the region.

Prior to this reassurance, the Nepali embassy had issued a public notice advising Nepali citizens living in Israel to strictly adhere to local security protocols and exercise caution. They urged residents to refrain from venturing outside their homes unless absolutely necessary, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing personal safety amidst the ongoing hostilities.
