NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 set to be country’s biggest auto show yet, 35 new vehicle models to launch

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has announced that the upcoming NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 will be Nepal’s largest and most comprehensive automobile exhibition to date. The event, scheduled from August 5 to August 9 (Shrawan 21 to 25) at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, will feature more than 50 brands and unveil 35 new vehicle models, marking a major milestone in the country’s automotive sector.

During a press conference held on Monday, NAIMA officials confirmed that preparations for the expo are complete. The exhibition is expected to set new standards in terms of scale, innovation, and public engagement in Nepal’s auto sector.

35 New Models to Debut
According to Shirish Kumar Murarka, head of the Mobility Expo Committee, the exhibition will unveil:

15 two-wheelers

15 passenger four-wheelers

5 commercial vehicles

These include the latest in electric mobility and next-generation mobility solutions designed to reflect Nepal’s evolving market needs and global green mobility trends.

“From cutting-edge technology to sustainable transport solutions, this expo will showcase the future of Nepal’s mobility,” said Murarka, also highlighting infrastructure upgrades at the venue, including drainage and accessibility for people with disabilities.

Vision: Green, Smart, and Connected Mobility
NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya expressed confidence that the Mobility Expo 2025 will become Nepal’s most important automotive event, creating a significant impact on the nation’s mobility ecosystem. She also announced that national and international experts will participate in panel discussions on the final day of the expo, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and industrial advancement.

Gaurav Sharada, another committee member, emphasized that this platform will define “Nepal’s future of mobility.” He called the expo a collective commitment toward a smart, green, and connected transport future. “This is a powerful platform that will strengthen the unified voice of vehicle importers and manufacturers across Nepal,” Sharada said.

General entry ticket: NPR 200

Student ticket: NPR 100

A notable feature of this year’s expo is its educational outreach: 5% of total ticket proceeds will go towards providing scholarships and fellowships in the mobility sector. The fund will be managed in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).

Public Engagement and Contest
NAIMA has also launched a social media video competition to engage the youth and content creators. The contest includes:

One grand prize of NPR 100,000 for the best video uploaded by August 5 (Shrawan 21) featuring the NAIMA Auto Expo. Ten runner-up prizes of NPR 10,000 each for videos uploaded between August 5–9 (Shrawan 21–25). The competition aims to crowdsource creativity and bring visibility to the event through digital platforms.
