Amidst opposition protest, House of Representatives passes budget

KATHMANDU: The Appropriation Bill (Budget) has been passed by a majority in the House of Representatives amidst obstruction and protest of the main opposition party UML.

After concluding the discussion, Finance Minister proposed to pass the Appropriation Bill. The bill was passed by a majority protest at the parliament meeting today.

The bill passed by the House of Representatives now will go to the National Assembly. The National Assembly will send the bill back to the House of Representatives after passing it. Then the House of Representatives will send the bill to the President Office. Once the bill is authenticated by the President, it comes into implementation ending the ongoing budget holiday in the country.
