KATHMANDU: Nepal’s beauty and wellness industry reached a new milestone with the opening of the International School of Aesthetics and Spa (ISAS) in Kathmandu. Founded by renowned global beauty expert Bhakti Sapke, the academy was officially inaugurated by popular Nepali actress Barsha Siwakoti during an event in New Baneshwar.
Speaking at the ceremony, Barsha Siwakoti praised the initiative as a powerful step toward transforming Nepal’s beauty education landscape. “ISAS is not just an academy — it is a gateway to global opportunities. With international certifications and job placement support, this platform will empower countless Nepali youths, especially women, to build confident, independent careers in Nepal and abroad. I feel honored to inaugurate a space that truly uplifts dreams.”
Bhakti Sapke is a pioneer in global beauty education and current President of CIDESCO Section UAE. With over 21 years of experience, Sapke has established herself as a thought leader in the international beauty industry. Under her leadership, ISAS has expanded to 11 centers across India, Dubai, and Sri Lanka, with plans underway to launch in the United States. The Kathmandu branch, representing an investment of approximately ₨ 4.5 crore, is a reflection of Sapke’s strong belief in Nepal’s creative potential, skilled workforce, and growing demand for quality beauty education.
The ISAS Kathmandu branch offers over 45 internationally accredited courses in cosmetology, spa therapy, salon management, makeup, nail art, eyelash extensions, and more. These programs provide globally recognized certifications from prestigious institutions including CIDESCO (Switzerland), Pivot Point (USA), LAPT (London), KHDA and DHA (Dubai), and TVET (UAE) — equipping students with the credentials needed to access job markets in Europe, the UAE, Canada, Australia, and beyond.
ISAS also provides personalized career counseling and job placement assistance tailored to both domestic and international markets. From recent school graduates and university students to working professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs, ISAS caters to a diverse range of learners. The programs are designed to equip students with technical excellence while also honing their soft skills, customer service experience, retail up-selling abilities, and business management know-how. The goal is not just employment, but empowerment—enabling learners to establish their own ventures such as salons, nail bars, or bridal studios.
Adding to its global credibility, Bhakti Sapke herself has worked as a hair and makeup artist in over 50 high-profile fashion and beauty events, including Times Fashion Week, Face of India, and Pune Fashion Week. Her regular participation as a speaker and jury member in prestigious industry platforms like Cosmoprof Worldwide, Professional Beauty GCC, and Beautyworld Middle East ensures that ISAS students benefit from direct exposure to international standards and industry trends.
Bhakti Sapke highlighted ISAS’s vision for Nepal in her address. “We believe Nepal has incredible creative potential. Through ISAS, we aim to nurture that talent with world-class training and career support. Our mission is not just about beauty — it’s about building confidence, independence, and success for our students, especially women.”
With a legacy of training over 9,000 successful graduates across the globe, ISAS is now poised to redefine beauty education in Nepal. As the academy begins its journey in Kathmandu, it invites the nation’s aspiring beauty professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs to explore this powerful new gateway to global careers.
