KATHMANDU — The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has elected its new office bearers, with Surakshya Vaidya securing the position of Senior Vice President and Manishlal Pradhan elected as Treasurer.

In the final vote count, Surakshya Vaidya secured 56 votes, defeating his closest rival Ramchandra Sangai, who received 30 votes. The election reflects a decisive margin in favor of Vaidya, signaling strong support within the business umbrella organization.

Similarly, in the Treasurer race, Manishlal Pradhan emerged victorious with 61 votes. His opponent, Poudel, secured 25 votes, falling significantly behind in the contest.

The FNCCI elections are closely watched by Nepal’s private sector as the body plays a key role in shaping industrial policy, investment climate, and public-private sector dialogue in the country.

The newly elected leadership is expected to take charge of strengthening business advocacy, improving private sector coordination, and addressing key economic challenges facing Nepal’s industrial and commercial landscape.
