Laminar opens three emporio showrooms in Lumbini Province within one week

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s leading fully vitrified tile brand Laminar has brought three Emporio dealer showrooms into operation in Lumbini Province within a week.

Laminar has launched the three new showrooms in collaboration with Janata Trade Link & Construction Pvt. Ltd. at Butwal-13, Belbas in Rupandehi, JJ Stonex Pvt. Ltd. in Siddharthanagar, Bhairahawa, and Siddhartha Marble House Pvt. Ltd. at Tulsipur-5 in Dang. Amid the compulsion of depending on big cities for premium tiles, Laminar has started quality tile sales and distribution at the local level.

Laminar tiles are fully vitrified tiles (NS 617, fully vitrified) produced at the factory located in Bardiya. The company has stated that these tiles, which absorb less water and are more strong, are suitable for use in homes, hotels, offices, and various commercial and public places. More than 500 designs of Laminar tiles, including full-body (Cento), antibacterial surface, and high-gloss tiles, are available at various showrooms.

The showrooms have been built targeting homeowners, contractors, architects, and institutional customers. Priority has also been given to advising which type of tile is suitable for what purpose while selecting tiles. “Laminar showrooms help customers properly view tiles, identify quality, and select according to their needs. Now tile selection can be done not only on the basis of design but also according to usage,” said Abhinav Churiwal, Director of Lumbini Ceramics.

Similarly, Chhabindra Bhattarai, Chairman of Janata Trade Link & Construction Pvt. Ltd., said, “Nowadays customers do not only look at design while buying tiles. They have also started looking at whether it is durable or not and whether it is easy to clean or not. This showroom helps explain exactly that.”

“We are now selling and distributing quality tiles from the local level itself. We produce them in Nepal. ‘No compromise on quality’ is our main mantra,” said Ashutosh Khetan, Managing Director of Lumbini Ceramics.

Speaking at the programme, Ram Bahadur Khadka, Director of Siddharth Marble House Pvt. Ltd., said that customers’ thinking has been changing lately. “Now it is not only about appearance; how durable and reliable it is has also become important. Laminar fulfills that need.”

“As the market is expanding in Dang, access to quality materials is also gradually increasing. This showroom will make it even more systematic,” said Gaurav Basnet, Vice President of Lumbini Ceramics.

While inaugurating the showroom, Lumbini Province Minister for Youth and Sports Santosh Kumar Pandey thanked Laminar for producing international standard tiles with the involvement of young entrepreneurs. He said that youth are moving towards making the country self-reliant by showing their talent in the country itself and pledged necessary coordination to make the business successful.

Likewise, Siddharthanagar Municipality Mayor Istiyak Ahmad Khan said during the inauguration ceremony that it is a matter of happiness that internationally quality-certified Laminar tiles have arrived in Bhairahawa. “Since Bhairahawa is the center of Lumbini Province, infrastructure development works are also progressing rapidly in this area. In such a situation, operating a showroom of quality tiles like Laminar is a matter of happiness for us.”

Laminar has stated that its goal is to further expand the Emporio showroom network across the country and make the process of understanding and selecting tiles according to usage more systematic. The company has set a target of expanding more than 160 showrooms.
