Online service for registration, renewal of private firms starts

KATHMANDU: Stating that the number of positive coronavirus cases has increased in Kathmandu, the Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has announced that it will provide online services for business registration and renewal from Sunday.

Private firms that have started the registration or renewal process from August 17 have been requested to use the online service. The process includes filling up the form via the online platform.

Once the form has been duly filled the firms can then deposit the necessary fees at the bank. After the fees have been deposited the service seekers will receive a message in their registered mobile number after which they are requested to visit the department with the required original documents and bank voucher.

The department has stated that it will not charge a penalty if any firms’ renewal period has expired within this period. Therefore, the department has informed priority will be given based on first come, first serves basis.

It has also mentioned that it will provide service to only 30 private firms daily and only five people will be allowed to go inside the department premises.

NMB Bank’s branch at Babarmal will be open on Monday and Thursday for concerned people to deposit the necessary fees. They can also make their payments for registration and renewal through the connect gateway IPS by visiting rajaswa.fcgc.gov.np.
