KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board (NEB) has announced the results of this year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE). The Board meeting held on Thursday decided to publish the results.
The examinees can check the results of SEE on the website of the NEB as well as through SMS and IVR.
The Office of the Controller of Examinations has said that the results of regular and grade-increment examinations can be viewed through websites, SMS and IVR.
The NEB published the results last time according to the 2072 BS system. According to the system of the year 2072, there is a provision that students will pass even if they get 35 percent marks in theory and practical combined.
According to the system of 2072, those who score 90 to 100 percent get a grade of A Plus, those who score between 80 and 90 get a grade of A, those who score between 70 and 80 B Plus, those who score between 60 to 70 are B, those who score between 50 and 60 get a grade of C Plus, those who score between 40 and 50 get a grade of C, those who score between 30 to 40 are D plus, those who score 20 to 30 get a grade of D and those who score less than 20 are given E grade.
According to the new guidelines 2078, students must score 35 percent in theoretical subjects. According to the new system, those who score less than 35 percent in all subjects will be kept as non-graded. This arrangement will be implemented from next year.
A total of 485,396 students from 120,083 public and private schools across the country participated in the examination conducted at 2,037 examination centers across the country from March 31 to April 12. As many as 242,712 female students and 242,674 male students appeared in the examinations. As many as 15,461 examinees from the technical side also participated in the SEE.
